Happy Independence Day!

We all wish to live a long life, but what is the purpose if we are encumbered by illness and disability. Unfortunately, the end of life is often accompanied by disabling, painful, and long-lasting illness. The key that everyone should wish for is a
"healthy death", - defined as living as long as possible in good health, and when the end comes, to go quickly with a minimum of pain and disability.

For this newsletter and the next month or so, I will provide information on natural defenses that can help you avoid various chronic illnesses as you age.

This newsletter is in two parts. The first part "The Good Stuff" focuses on supplements that you should use to help support your body and prevent chronic conditions from developing.

Part 2, "The Bad Stuff" discusses lifestyle habits, prescription drugs and medical procedures you should try to avoid to maintain good health.

  The Good Stuff

Aging and Chronic Disease

Aging does not automatically correspond with poor health. Unfortunately though, it seems to be the norm for many people. The end of life should be the point at which the body simply wears out and stops functioning, not the point at which illness brings it to a long, drawn-out end.

Can treatment with Vitamin B prevent Alzheimer's?

A new study shows that elderly people at risk could stave off Alzheimer's disease by taking vitamin B supplements. The study shows that Vitamin B with folic acid reduces brain atrophy in areas of the brain associated with Alzheimer's by up to 90 percent.

As we age, we all worry about being subject to heart attacks, stroke, Alzheimer's disease and other conditions associated with aging. One of the most powerful anti-aging herbs is the Indian spice Turmeric. It is especially valuable to provide some protective ability against cardiac problems and Alzheimer's disease.

Medium Chain Triglyceride Fats Found In Coconut Oil Boost Brain Function In Only One Dose

Medium Chain Triglycerides (MCTs), the primary type of fat found within coconut oil, have been found to boost cognitive performance in older adults suffering from memory disorders as serious as Alzheimer's -- and not after months or even days of treatment, but after a single 40 ml dose!

Multivitamin/Multimineral Supplements and Cancer

Results from this new study out of Harvard indicate that using a Multivitamin/Multimineral product offers healthy older men additional protection against cancer, suggesting that a healthy diet alone may not be sufficient to meet micronutrient needs.

How Vitamin E Can Help Prevent Cancer
Many studies have suggested a link between low vitamin E status and the develpment of cancer, but findings have been inconclusive. This new study suggests the typical drug-store or supermarket vitamin E supplement does not show this benefit since the most affordable supplements are synthetic and based predominantly on a form of the vitamin (alpha-tocopherol) that did not fight cancer effectively. This statement also applies to most   multivitamin/multimineral products, including those purchased at high end markets.

The Bad Stuff
Items That Increase Your Risk of Developing a Chronic Disease as You Age.

There are numerous lifestyle issues and habits that increase your risk of developing a chronic disease as you age. Chief among these is obesity and smoking.

But, this newsletter is pretty full, so we'll save "The Bad Stuff" for the next one.

I will provide a link to Part II of this newsletter
 here when it is completed.

Web Site Changes and News

I have recently applied to be a test site for several new techniques to help resolve Erectile Dysfunction (ED)

This may include Low Intensity Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy in a clinical trial.  This is tentative and depends on the manufacturer of the devices' approval.  So it may happen and it may not. This therapy is approved in Canada and is currently being tested for FDA approval in the US.  For more information, see my booklet "Solutions for Erectile Dysfunction"

I am also investigating the use of extracts of certain edible mushrooms to help with Erectile Dysfunction and Libido boosting. In particular, this might help men who have had surgery for prostate cancer or other pelvic surgery and have associated erectile dysfunction due to nerve damage from the surgery. If you are interested in joining the study, email me. This is an informal study but you will need to meet certain criteria, as well as purchase products used in the study.

Please note that we have added "no interest financing for 6 months" on our website thru PayPal and "Bill Me Later." This gives you six months to pay for all purchases over $99.00 at no additional cost.  You'll have the options to choose "Bill Me Later" when you reach the PayPal Checkout Cart.

Last, but certainly not least, we have Vacuum Erection Devices (VED's) in stock for immediate shipping. For more info about them  the "Solutions for Erectile Dysfunction" booklet. VED's are on sale this month. They may seem like an inconvenience, but if you have ED, believe me, you get used to one quickly, AND THEY WORK, even when Viagra and the other ED drugs don't.

Note: Payments for most items sold on my website are processed through PayPal, but certain items, specifically some male sexual enhancement products, like Stamina-Rx, and other male enhancement products containing Yohimbe, cannot be sold through PayPal.  I now have a secure ordering page specifically to process payments for these items. If you have orders for them along with other items in your PayPal cart, be assured that all the orders will be processed together and you will only be charged one shipping charge.
