Personal Home Saliva Hormone Assay Kit
Personal home saliva test kits allow you to test your hormone levels in the
comfort and privacy of your home. You pay for the specific tests you
select on our website, and we send you a collection kit for the laboratory.
Each kit contains collection tube(s), instructions and a pre-addressed shipping box to return your saliva sample to the laboratory for testing. The tests are performed through an arrangement we have with Diagnos-Techs, Inc., a state-of-the-art, CLIA certified diagnostic laboratory located in Tukwila, WA.
When the laboratory finishes its tests, you will receive an email or a phone call from us (Prostate Health Naturally) with your results. Panels include a short telephone analysis. For any questions, please call us at 239-498-1547. Please do not call the laboratory.
Hormones are the chemical messengers of the body. They are produced primarily in glands and organs that are part of our endocrine system. Measuring and balancing your hormone levels can help you restore youthful vigor and performance.
Before beginning any program of hormone replacement, it is essential to first test your current hormone levels and consult with a practitioner that is knowledgeable in bio-identical hormone replacement. This is - first, to develop your baseline levels, and second, - to make sure you are "not fixing what is not broken"!
Hormone replacement, to improve the health and sexual vitality of aging men and women, is very rewarding when done properly. However, if done indiscriminately, it can cause severe health problems. Testing to establish a baseline, along with periodic retesting can ensure that you are not damaging your health.
Saliva tests are the recommended way to test hormones. According to many experts, saliva is better suited for measuring hormone levels than blood since it contains only free hormones. You should measure your hormone levels before starting a supplementation program and periodically afterward.
The best way to test your hormones is to order a panel that is specific to your sex and age. Each of the panels we offer tests the level of the hormones that are most important for your age and sex.
More detailed information on the action of many hormones is available in my book and on this website.
